Individual performance of Thriller...
There are a few different homeless guys in Modesto that I see periodically around town. One in particular seems to to be really messed up mentally and physically. He really gets into his twitches and random movements. On this particular day I was driving home when I saw him stumbling down the sidewalk and he was twitching in away that it looked like he was doing Michael Jackson's Thriller. If only I had the song playing in my car at that moment it would have matched up perfectly. Maybe he'll bring it back in a month for Halloween and I'll be lucky enough to see it again. I know it kind of sounds mean but I'm not here to make jokes just observations of life as I see it move. In the mean time I need to download the song in anticipation of the right moment.

my mac
I just purchased my new macbook! Booya! I love it. At one time in my life I never thought I would have a mac. But that's what happens when you have no idea what you talking or thinking about. Now that I have it I hate going back to windows. Boo windows. Yeah mac.

Hondas FCX Clarity
When one thinks "Going Green" with there transportation one might have to think "Going Hydrogen". Honda recently released it's Hydrogen/electric powered car in SoCal. It's a car that runs on completely on Hydrogen. The car combines Oxygen and Hydrogen to make a electric charge which the car then runs on. Nice! It has zero emissions b/c it only produces water vapor as excess. Finally. Could you imagine if everyone in CA was driving one of these? No more smog problems! Easy breathing on those who have asthma. Healthy for the environment and can hopefully reverse the Green House effect. I included the link for more info. True we won't have many out for a few years dew to the fact that there are few hydrogen filling stations in the country. But it's still great to support something like this. Hopefully more car companies will catch on.

"When spicy meets sweet, your tasts buds win."
It’s time for the unveiling of my “Food for Thought” critique blog on various foods. This first entry will be done on the fabulous Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos. This is a new product out that hit store a few weeks ago. It is quite possibly the best flavor of Doritos ever assembled by the Doritos chefs. I tip my chef hat to you all. The bag itself reads exact description that your mouth encounters; Sweet then spicy. After each bite the tongue is left with a longing for more just as the Patriots long to be cool. The best catch phrase is also found on the best chip bad, “When spicy meets sweet, your taste buds win.” You really can’t come up with this stuff off the top of your head, it’s too deep. You if you haven’t tried it go out and spend the $3.55 (for the large bag, your going to need it) and enjoy. Goes great with any kind of grilled meat, iced soda or tea. So I am giving my full endorsement of Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos.

San Jose Home Opener
Last Saturday Shelly and I went to the San Jose Earthquakes Home Opener in Oakland,CA. It was awesome! Our tickets were fansatic (6 row up about mid field). It was a good game and should have at least tied. We hit the post twice in stoppage time! Since we were playing the Chicago Fire we were surounded by Blanco fans. BOO! At least our D kept him out of the game! It was really hot and we sweated the whole time but it was worth it to know that thw Quakes are back in the Bay Area!

San Jose: Stadium Deal Getting Worked Out
Posted by drew.epperley under: MLS; News and Rumors; San Jose Earthquakes.
Here is something that ALL San Jose Earthquake fans can enjoy. City officials said on Monday they worked out details on a $132 million deal to build a professional soccer stadium near Mineta International Airport.
If approved, it will help make way for an 18,000-seat stadium as well as retail, offices and a hotel. The best news is the stadium could be ready as early as 2010.
San Jose Earthquakes owner Lew Wolff has agreed to pay $132 million for 66 acres of the former FMC manufacturing plant, about 18 of which will be set aside for the stadium and parking. The city bought the land in 2005 for $81 million.
Wolff plans to pay for the deal using proceeds from a development in Edenvale. He needs the city to rezone 78 acres of commercial and industrial property he owns there for residential development. That would open that property for construction of an estimated 1,500 townhomes.
As we all know getting a stadium in San Jose is easily the thing that this club has to take care of right now before it drags on too long. The biggest reason why the Quakes were first moved out of the city was due to their stadium situation, so a lingering stadium situation now won’t help. But Wolff is working very hard, if not a lot harder than AEG ever did to get a deal in place and ready to go as soon as possible.
I would be willing to bet that this will go through and this club will be playing in a brand new stadium before long.

Sexy football???
General Manager of the LA Galaxy ALexi Lalas said that this year they were going to play "sexy football." Well if you watched the opening weekend of MLS you might think Lalas' idea of sexy would be a baboon in some hot pants. Colorado just made the Galaxy look silly and "unsexy." That gives the Quakes a bright outlook on their game thursday against the "sexy football-traveling circus." By the way I'm gonna DVR the game if you want to watch with me??

SuperDraft 2008!

As of this Friday MLS with be hosting annual Super Draft (2008) in Baltimore. This year the expansion San Jose Earthquakes with have the honor of the #1 overall pick in the draft. SJ has a lot of potential moves here. First, selecting the best overall player in the draft, it really doesn't matter what position b/c SJ has holes to fill in every spot except GK (maybe a F or MD). They could also trade the pick for a veteran player (and possibly a later pick in the draft). There is so much excitement for fans of SJ, I can't wait! I don't know about you but I will be tuning in on Friday with my Earthquake blue T on and my butt glued to the couch. GO QUAKES!
